1.remember

(1) .to have or keep an image in your memory of an event, a person, a place, etc. from the past 回想起；记得；记起

eg. I don't remember my first day at school.

我已经忘了第一天上学的情景。(基础例句)

eg. He still remembered her as the lively teenager he'd known years before.

他记忆中的她依然是他多年以前认识的那个活泼的少女。(提升例句)

动词 + -ing短语

Do you remember switching the lights off before we came out?

你记得我们出来之前关灯了吗？

动词 + 名词短语 + -ing短语

I can still vividly remember my grandfather teaching me to play cards.

爷爷教我打纸牌的情景我记忆犹新。

动词 (+ that从句)

I remember (that) we used to go and see them most weekends.

我记得我们过去经常在周末去看望他们。

2. memorize

(VERB) 熟记;记住

If you memorize something, you learn it so that you can remember it exactly.

● He studied his map, trying to memorize the way to Rose's street.

● If you memorize a poem, you can say it without looking at a book.

3.review

(VERB) （为备考）复习，温习

When you review for an examination, you read things again and make notes in order to be prepared for the examination.

● Reviewing for exams gives you a chance to bring together all the individual parts of the course.

4.leave

(1).(VERB) 离开（某处或某人）

If you leave a place or person, you go away from that place or person.

● I simply couldn't bear to leave my little girl...

(2). (VERB) 招致；造成

If an event leaves people or things in a particular state, they are in that state when the event has finished.

● The documentary left me in a state of shock...

那部纪录片使我大为震惊。

● ...violent disturbances which have left at least ten people dead...

造成至少10人死亡的暴乱。

(3). (VERB) 搁下，转换（话题）

If you leave a particular subject, you stop talking about it and start discussing something else.

● I think we'd better leave the subject of Nationalism.

我看我们最好还是搁下民族主义这个话题吧。
