Software Engineer – SDWAN Controller

Who you'll Work With?

We're looking for a bright and motivated Software Engineer to join the SDWAN Enterprise Routing vManage development team, you will be part of a fast growing and industry leading product-line in the space of SDWAN, Analytics, cloud, virtualization.

You will be part of an elite Software Engineering team that works on various ground-breaking technologies in SD-WAN and connecting to Cloud applications. You will have the opportunity to work with leading-edge networking technologies in the areas of SD-WAN

What You'll Do

Senior Software Engineer in SD-WAN NextGen Management plane (vManage) team, you will participate on a project team of highly skilled engineers involved in the software development for vManage, a centralized SD-WAN management controller.

You will define, architect, design, and deliver new software and features in SDWAN management systems. Day to day activities will involve crafting new features, understanding features in an ambitious product, and proposing solutions that work for our solution. You will also be writing functional and design specifications, programming, unit and integration testing your code, helping review specifications and code for other software engineers on the team, and helping documentation team with the configuration aspects of your features.

Qualifications/Skills

• Java Developer with strong experience with databases is must
• Strong programming skills and design ethics
• Strong knowledge and experience in designing and building large-scale, distributed systems using Java, Neo4j, Elastic search and micro-services applications
• You have excellent skills working in small, highly technical teams employing Agile/Scrum practices.
• You are able to pull a diverse group of individuals with different goals together to facilitate, moderate, and influence productive discussions driving towards results
• Own what you build - Ability to ensure and commit to a higher standard of quality in the face of time to market pressures.

Required Experience

• You have 5+ year’s software and architecture experience in a technology-based company with 3+ years focused on building large scale distributed systems
• Strong networking and preferably SDWAN concepts are necessary
• Experience in building various applications in a Microservice architecture
• Proficiency in Unix/Linux environments
• Experience in SDWAN/building NMS is a plus
• Ability to work across cross-functional teams to discuss and close on the technical solutions
• Strong OS fundamentals and networking concepts is necessary
