新加坡南洋理工大学成立新的计算机与数据科学学院！

2月19日，南洋理工大学官网发布重要消息，将迎来新学院——计算机与数据科学学院（College of Computing and Data Science）。

这是南洋理工大学的第6所重要学院，着重于深化人工智能、计算和数据科学的教育与研究。

至此，南洋理工大学一共开设有以下几大院系：

商学院

计算机与数据科学学院

工程学院

人文、艺术和社会科学学院

理学院

医学院

教育学院

国际研究学院

新的学院将由副校长翁之昊（Luke Ong）担任创始院长，直接领衔，目的就是为了推动南洋理工在人工智能和数据科学等学科的教学和科研发展，以及加强计算机与其他学科之间的跨学科合作，并且培养出更好的人工智能和计算机科学的人才。

翁之昊教授是计算机行业知名专家学者，曾在英国牛津大学出任计算机科学教授，也是新加坡全国人工智能核心的首席科学家。

新学院新课程

计算机与数据科学学院设在计算机科学与工程学院现有的设施，并且会提升目前的计算机设施，进一步提升学生的学习体验。

计算机科学与工程学院目前的九项本科课程，以及五项研究生课程，将转入新的学院。

新学院将于今年8月开课，预计将录取约4800名学生。
