hLife | Call for Papers

hLife is an open access, peer-reviewed journal which aims to report and highlight original and high-impact discoveries in the health science field, linking basic research to clinical application that could improve human health. The disciplines include but are not limited to pathogen biology, epidemiology, physiology, immunology, structural biology, disease surveillance, oncology, drugs, vaccines and health policy.

All Article Publishing Charge (APC) fees for accepted articles of hLife will be covered by the Institute of Microbiology, Chinese Academy of Sciences before 2025.

Content types

Article

Original report of completely new study in the field of basic, translational or clinical medicine.

Review

Comprehensive and authoritative survey of recent developments and advances in research filed related to the health science topics.

Letter

Original report of timely new results that are of substantial clinical, medical, or public health importance; 1 figure and up to 1500 words.

Perspective

Review and discussion of the primary research literature in which the authors may express particular points of view about health-related science and social issues.

Resource

A technical platform or a large data set of broad utility, interest, and significance to the community.

Editorial

Comment and discussion of important aspects of science and medicine, usually interfacing with policy or society; up to 1500 words and no more than 10 references.

Dialogue

Dialogue among the leading scientists or health policymakers on issues that are of interest to the readership of hLife.

Recollection

Introduction of famous scientists in modern and contemporary history and their contributions to science and medicine.
