With the development of information technology, mobile payment has more deeply penetrated Chinese consumers' daily lives, with 85% of users having scanned QR codes to pay last year, up 6 percentage points from 2019, according to a report released by the Chinese card payment giant China UnionPay.
中国银联近日发布报告称,随着信息技术的不断发展,移动支付已渗透到消费者生活的各个领域,2020年二维码支付用户占比达85%,较2019年提升了6个百分点。
The survey found 98% of respondents considered mobile payment as the most commonly used payment method, up 5 percentage points from a year earlier.

Chinese people used mobile payments three times a day on average, the report said.

The ratio of those using it more than three times a day rose 11% from 2019, while 25% of respondents paid via mobile phone more than five times a day.

About 30% of respondents said they purchase daily necessities via livestreaming, the report said, adding that new online payment platforms, which have been integrated into small brick-and-mortar shops such as street vendors, vegetable markets and fruit stores, have gained popularity among consumers.
报告显示,大约30%的受访者会经常使用网络直播购物。新兴的线上支付平台与线下,小摊贩、菜场、水果店等小型实体商店等有机融合,受到消费者青睐。
