Prerequisites
WAF provides HTTPS access configuration and protection capability for domain names. If your website has not been altered for HTTPS, you can apply for a free Domain Certificate in the Tencent Cloud SSL Certificates Console. After the certificate application, associate the certificate in the WAF console, and WAF will help you achieve full-site HTTPS access with one click without modifying the origin server. The client will use HTTPS to connect to the website. Refer to Domain-based Certificate Application Process to apply for a free Domain-based (DV) SSL Certificate.
Associating HTTPS Certificate
1. Log in to WAF Console, and in the left navigation, select Asset Center > Instance Management.
2. On the Instance management page, click Manage Domain Names on the right side of the target instance.
3. On the domain access page, click Add Domain to enter the page for adding domains.
4. In the server configuration, check HTTPS. In the certificate configuration, click Associate Certificate.
Note:
The certificate format should be PEM and the content should be text.
5. Select the certificate source as "Tencent Cloud Managed Certificate", WAF will automatically associate the available certificate for the domain. Once configuration is complete, click Save.
6. Enable the forced HTTPS redirection switch, and select the HTTP access protocol above. Additionally, choose HTTP for "HTTPS origin retrieval method". After filling in other parameters as needed, your website will support HTTPS access.
Note:
To enable the forced HTTPS redirection switch, you need to select both HTTP and HTTPS access protocols.
