Rooms Terminal
When holding a multi-person video conference with at least one participant having their video on, you can select More in the bottom toolbar of the meeting and choose Switch Layout to switch the layout. You can choose from Grid Layout, Speaker Layout, Top Member List, Right Member List, Top L-shaped Layout, Bottom L-shaped Layout, and Horseshoe Layout.
Grid View: The layout screen supports Grid Layout with up to 25 people per screen, and the screen can be swiped left or right to view the next screen of attendees.
Speaker Layout: In Speaker Layout, the main screen shows the video or shared screen, and the small screen shows the current device's video. The small screen can be dragged. Click the small screen at the top right to show the "hide" button.
Top Member List: The main screen shows the video or shared screen, and the top small screen shows the attendees. Click the sides of the small screen to turn pages and view more attendees. Double-click the small screen to lock it to the main screen for viewing.
Right Member List: The main screen shows the video or shared screen, and the right small screen shows the attendees. Click the page-turn button at the bottom right of the small screen to view more attendees. Double-click the small screen to lock it to the main screen for viewing.
Top L-shaped Layout: The main screen shows the video or shared screen, with the top and right small screens showing the attendees. Click the bottom page-turn button to turn pages and see more attendees.
Bottom L-shaped Layout: The main screen shows the video or shared screen, with the bottom and right small screens showing the attendees. Click the bottom page-turn button to turn pages and see more attendees.
Horseshoe Layout: The main screen shows the video or shared screen, with small screens around the perimeter showing the attendees. Click the bottom page-turn button to turn pages and see more attendees.
Controller Terminal
When holding a multi-person video conference with at least one participant having their video on, you can select Switch Layout on the Controller to switch the layout on the Rooms large screen. You can choose from Grid Layout, Speaker Layout, Top Member List, Right Member List, Top L-shaped Layout, Bottom L-shaped Layout, and Horseshoe Layout.
When the speaker layout is selected, you can control the display and hiding of the video thumbnail in the top right corner of the speaker layout by toggling the Show Video Thumbnail Window switch on the Controller.
In layouts like Grid where multiple participants have video on and it spans more than one page, you can enter the layout settings page and click the up and down page buttons to switch the video screens as needed.
Note:
The "Right Member List," "Top L-shaped Layout," "Bottom L-shaped Layout," and "Horseshoe Layout" require the Rooms client to be upgraded to version 3.12.180 or above.
