Background
NVIDIA will no longer provide technical support for older versions of the GRID License Server after July 31, 2023. Additionally, the old GRID License purchased by Tencent Cloud will expire on March 30, 2024. To ensure that your business is not affected by the expiration of the current driver, it is recommended that you upgrade your existing GRID driver version to GRID 16, which is supported by the new GRID License Server.

GPU Passthrough Card Instance Specifications
If your instance belongs to the GNV4v, GNV4, or GN7vw full GPU specifications, you can choose the following methods to upgrade the GRID driver based on your specific situation.
Using a custom image for reinstallation: If you need to retain the original business environment in the image, it is recommended that you uninstall the old driver, upgrade to the GRID 16 driver, create a custom image, and then reinstall the system. The driver upgrade guide will be notified via the message center.
Switching to the public image: If you do not need to retain the business environment from the original image, you can use the Reinstall System feature in the Cloud GPU Service console to reinstall the system and select a public image pre-installed with GRID 16.2.
