近20年来，人工智能在科幻片中一直扮演着不可或缺的角色：从《黑客帝国》中的史密斯，到《复仇者联盟》中的奥创；从《I, Robot》中的Sonny，到《Westworld》中的 Dolores ——他们拥有强大的计算分析能力，甚至成了终结者威胁到了人类的生存。

尽管这些强大的AI角色也许会令人不寒而栗，但在现实中的AI也许与我们想象中的不太一样。

AlphaGo 程序击败了围棋世界冠军韩国职业棋士李世乭，在全球引起了轩然大波。

中国新华社与搜狗联手打造了AI主播，透过深度学习技术模仿真人主播播报新闻。

华尔街的高盛以基于智能算法的自动交易程序取代了大部分交易员。

所以，在12月6日晚，我们俱乐部有幸邀请了几位来自学界和商界的人工智能和数据科学大咖：

Alberto Todeschini

Alberto Todeschini is a lecturer in artificial intelligence at UC Berkeley’s School of Information, where he teaches in the Master of Information and Data Science program.

His previous appointment was at UC Berkeley's Sutardja Center for Entrepreneurship and Technology in Berkeley’s Engineering School. Before that, Alberto had a post-doctoral appointment under Professor Kurt Keutzer in Berkeley’s department of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science, with a focus on natural language processing. Since coming to Berkeley in 2011, Alberto has supervised over 50 software projects in both academia and industry as well as consulted for three large companies, two law firms, and Berkeley’s Haas School of Business.

Yu Xi Chau

Yu-Xi is the Data Science Manager for A.S. Watson, the largest Health and Beauty Retailer in the world with 130 million members worldwide. He leads a team of Data Scientists to develop data products covering a range of problems from CRM, Pricing, Supply Chain and Product Placement.

Prior to this, Yu-Xi is the first Data Scientist for Hong Kong Jockey Club, focusing on the horse racing business. He studied for a Physics MSci degree in Imperial College and holds a Master and PhD in Complexity Science (Mathematics) at the University of Warwick.

Xavier Mathieu

Xavier is a senior quantitative analyst and data scientist, with a 20-years experience on financial markets as head of quantitative analysis teams with BNP Paribas, he is now CEO of the consulting company Modwize specialized in data science. Xavier is also a co-founder of a group of 1200+ data scientists in Hong-Kong: Data Science Hong Kong.
