How to access objects using a custom domain name?
Is Tencent Cloud Filing Required for Using a Custom Domain Name?
Determine based on your situation.
If your domain is connected to a domestic CDN, it must be filed. However, filing through Tencent Cloud is not mandatory. You only need to ensure that the connected domain has been filed.
If your domain is connected to an overseas CDN, no filing is required.
Does COS Support HTTPS for Custom Domain Names?
Yes. You can configure SSL Certificates for your custom domain to enable HTTPS access. For details, see the Configure Custom Domain to Support HTTPS Access document.
How to Get a Custom Domain Name Access Link After Uploading a File to COS?
COS does not currently support returning access links with custom domains after file upload. You can achieve this by concatenating the domain, simply replacing the default domain with your custom domain.
Is CDN Required to Access COS Using a Custom Domain Name?
You can access COS using a custom domain without enabling CDN. Log in to the COS console to configure a custom origin domain. For detailed operations, see the Enable Custom Origin Domain document.
Why Does the Original Custom Domain Name Disappear in the COS Console After the origin is changed in the CDN Console?
If you use the V5 edition console with JSON version domain configuration, the COS V5 console cannot display new domains. Check whether your bucket is configured with a JSON domain, and modify the JSON version domain configuration to an XML domain.
Do I Need to Delete the Lightweight Server Resolution Before Binding a Custom Domain Name to a COS Bucket?
A domain can only be configured with one CNAME record. Therefore, you must first delete the resolution relationship from the lightweight server, and then bind the domain resolution relationship to the COS bucket.
How to Handle the Issue When Domain Name Resolution or CNAME Is Not Effective?
After you configure domain resolution or a CNAME record, it may take several minutes, tens of minutes, or even longer to take effect. For more details, see DNS Propagation Time.
How to Configure a Custom Domain Name for COS?
If you need to configure a custom domain for your COS, see the following two scenarios:
1. If you do not require acceleration, see Enable Custom Origin Domain to bind your domain to a COS bucket and access files in the bucket using the custom domain.
2. If you require CDN acceleration, see Enable Custom CDN Acceleration Domain. Before configuration, ensure that the domain you enter has been filed and that the corresponding CNAME record has been configured with your DNS provider. For details, see CNAME Configuration.
Note:
Access using a custom origin domain is charged the same as access using the COS default domain.
Access using a custom CDN domain incurs CDN origin traffic fees and CDN downstream traffic fees, while the COS public network downstream traffic fee is reduced.
