Should you have established notifications and designated recipients, AS will dispatch alerts to the pertinent individuals upon the occurrence of scaling activities.
Step 1: Define the Notification Recipients
Upon entering the User Management Console, one can observe the contact details of the account registrant.
Should you desire additional individuals, such as other members of the operations team, to receive notifications, you may click on New to create more.
Note:
If your Tencent Cloud account is solely for your use, you may bypass this step, as the system has already defaulted to creating a "Developer" account.
Step 2: Define User Groups (Classification of Recipients)
AS dispatches notifications based on User Groups, rather than individual Recipients.
Illustrative Scenario
If you wish to be the sole recipient of notifications, you may create a user group that only contains your contact information.
You may have defined multiple notification recipients, who could be from the same department or different ones. You might want certain notifications to be sent to recipients in Department A, and others to recipients in Department B. In this case, you can define user groups, categorizing different notification recipients into one group.
Setting Procedure
1. Navigate to User Group Management, click on Create New User Group, enter the username, and then click Confirm.
2. Next, click on Add User and incorporate the relevant notification recipients.
Step 3: Utilizing User Groups
When defining the alarm triggering strategy and notification policy for AS, you can see the user groups you have defined in the list of notification recipients. You can set notifications for specific user groups according to your needs.
