Must-Knows

Note:
Cloud GPU Service, as a specialized type of CVM instance, follows the same purchase, operation, and maintenance methods as CVM. For detailed instructions, see CVM Documentation.
To optimize your use of Cloud GPU Service, carefully review and follow the must-knows below:

1. Backing up Data

Cloud GPU Service provides powerful computing capabilities. GN8 instances can be configured with local SSD hard disks. To prevent data loss in extreme situations, it is essential to back up your data regularly to ensure its security. For enhanced data security and reliability, you may also consider purchasing and mounting standalone auto scaling cloud disks.

2. Renewing on Time

Starting 7 days before the expiration of a Cloud GPU Service instance, users will receive expiration reminders. To continue using the service, renew it promptly. Otherwise, the instance will be shut down, disconnected from the network, and moved to the recycle bin upon expiration. Ensure timely renewal or data backup before the service expires.

3. External Devices

Cloud GPU Service does not support direct loading of external hardware devices yet, such as hardware dongles, USB flash drives, external hard drives, bank U keys.

4. Adjusting Instance Configurations

Cloud GPU Service instances, including PNV4, GT4, GN10X/GN10Xp, GN6/GN6S, GN7, GN8, GNV4v, GNV4, GN7vw, and GI1, support configuration adjustments within the same instance family. However, GN7 instances do not support changes from passthrough mode (full GPU) to vGPU mode (fractional GPUs such as 1/4 GPU). GI3X does not currently support configuration adjustments.
Note:
For prerequisites, must-knows, and an operation guide on configuration adjustments, see Instance Configuration Adjustment.
For details on fees related to configuration adjustments, see Explanation of Instance Adjustment Fees.

5. Prohibitions

The use of Cloud GPU Service for traffic tunneling services is strictly prohibited. Severe violations may result in the suspension, locking, or termination of the instance.
The use of Cloud GPU Service for network activities such as fake transactions on e-commerce platforms like Taobao, including fake orders, inflated sales, and ad manipulation, is strictly prohibited.
