最初的全尺寸产品是 Level-2B 扫频产品(AE_Rain),它包含从 Level-2A 亮度温度(AE_L2A)生成的降雨率和降雨类型(对流与层状)的瞬时测量值。戈达德太空飞行中心(GSFC)的剖面算法可确定海洋地区的降雨率和降雨类型,而修正的GSFC剖面算法可确定陆地地区的降雨率和降雨类型。数据以 HDF-EOS (HDF4) 格式存储,从 2002 年 6 月 18 日开始提供,直到 2011 年 10 月 AMSR-E 仪器因天线问题关闭为止。
