By the end of 2020, 1.335 billion people had social security cards in China, covering 95% of the population, according to the Ministry of Human Resources and Social Security.

人力资源和社会保障部近日发布数据，截至2020年末，我国社保卡持卡人数已达到13.35亿人，覆盖95%人口。

根据2020年10月发布的十九届五中全会公报，"十三五"时期，我国建成世界上规模最大的社会保障体系，基本医疗保险覆盖超过13亿人，基本养老保险覆盖近10亿人。

Over 300 million people have applied for digital social security cards. It is estimated more than 500 million people will have digital social security cards in 2021.

目前，全国电子社保卡申领已突破3亿张，预计2021年超过5亿人将拥有电子社保卡。
